PGWP Recent Changes Announced by Immigration Canada

Immigration Canada previously announced changes to the PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit) requirements.

In summary, these are:

• If you apply before November 01st, 2024, you must meet the current eligibility criteria
• If you apply on or after November 01st, 2024, you must meet two additional criteria (except for graduates from an eligible flight school):
  • You must demonstrate your language skills through an exam accepted by Immigration.
  • You must have graduated from a program under the selected field of studies, based on the long-term shortage needs for Canada. Graduates from Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree Programs are exempt from the field of study requirement.
